Haarlem – 9 February 2017 – BookerZzz, parent company of Hotel Booker and Bungalow Booker B.V., celebrates its eighth Awards season with the unveiling of award-winning holiday parks and hotels. The annual BookerZzz Awards and are voted exclusively by the public.

Holiday makers who have stayed at a hotel or park through one of the 12 BookerZzz websites are subsequently invited to rate their experience according to a variety of criteria, from cleanliness to comfort. The thousands of ratings and reviews are then carefully analysed and the winners are determined by the average scores.

Besides the generic awards such as Best hotel in Germany, review questions are asked based on what the guests are looking for in their stay, such as child-friendly accommodations or good value for money. The properties with the highest averages in these areas win the related awards, highlighting the role of BookerZzz as a specialist in the market.

Awards showcase the best properties for short stays in Europe

The cooperation between the HotelSpecials and BungalowSpecials websites and their partners are at the forefront of business for BookerZzz. These Awards give BookerZzz the opportunity to showcase the best properties for short leisure stays across Europe while rewarding partners for their excellence.

The Award for the Best holiday park in the Netherlands went to Efteling Village Bosrijk for the fourth consecutive year, an enormous accolade in an already celebratory year for Efteling as they celebrate their 65^th anniversary.

HotelSpecials celebrated their long and successful cooperation with Van der Valk hotel chain with over 20 awards, including Best hotel in the Netherlands and Most child friendly hotel in the Netherlands. The Awards also allow smaller parks, hotels and regions to promote their speciality according to holiday makers’ experiences.

Awards garner National and International recognition

Since the Bungalow Booker and Hotel Booker websites are present across 8 countries and 12 labels, the Awards give hotels and parks both national and international branding opportunities on a multitude of platforms. DroomParken holiday parks, a lesser known chain outside of the Benelux, won the Award for the Best Park Group, providing cross-border branding and growth opportunities.
